16th January 2008 - Indoor Nets 2008

Nets are at Glossopdale Community College as they were last year however, due to the finances being stretched to cover re-turfing of the entire outfield this season we will only have 6 weeks worth of nets starting 26th Feb- 2nd Apr 2008 (8-10pm).

9th December 2007 - Cup Regulations

Fielding regulations will apply for the 2008 season in Cup matches. Each Club will need to acquire a sufficient number of plastic or rubber (not metal) discs of 7" diameter to mark out the 30 yard circle.  Buying these items from retail sources could be expensive so if anybody has a contact with a local factory/manufacturer who can produce plastic discs, let Alan Burgoyne now.

7th December 2007 - Ground Update For 2008 Season

We will be playing the first 6 matches, or so, away from home & the 2nd XI will be playing these matches on Sundays as the pitch will not be ready.  When it comes to the return fixture, we cant reverse the fixture, as both teams cant play at home on the same day. The League have decided that once were able to play on our ground, the fixtures will continue as printed.  This will mean that we will be playing some teams twice on their ground in season 2008.

7th December 2007 - 2nd Team Captain

We have had an offer to Captain the second eleven (along with a VC).  Thanks go to Nigel Redfern and Rob Taylor, who volunteered at the AGM in the absence of any offers, for their commitment to the club, and who will now stand down.  The new 2nd XI Captain will be Mike Fitzgerald, and his Vice will be Elliott Morley.
