Ground Directions

 

Birch vale                      The ground is opposite the Vine Tavern approx. halfway between New Mills and Hayfield, on the A6015.

 

Broadbottom                 The ground is situated on Mottram road between Charlesworth and Mottram and will be found up the hill from the railway station.

 

Buxworth                       Follow the signs to Buxworth village and Turn right back across the motorway next to the Navigation pub.  The ground is over the bypass bridge on Western lane.

 

Chapel-en-le-Frith         From Market street on the B5470 turn into Rowaon Grange road which is opposite the Natwest hole in the wall. After approx half a kilometer turn left into Willow drive.  The ground is on the right and is accessed via a single track road alongside.

 

Compstall                     On the Marple Bridge to Romiley road turn into Ernecroft road which is signposted Compstall and is approx. 20 meteres above the George pub and a similar distance below the Northumberland pub.  The entrance to the ground is approx. 200 yards on the right.

 

Dinting                           From the A57 Glossop to Dinting road turn into Simmondley Lane at the mini roundabout on the Dinting side.  The entrance to the ground is approx 200 yards on the right.

 

Dove Holes                   Is situated on the A6 between Chappel and Buxton, the ground is on the left in the middle of the village opposite the well signposted community centre.

 

Hadfield                         From the A57 Glossop to Dinting road, opposite to the Glossop caravans turn into Shaw lane.  This road reverts to Newshaw lane and after about 300metres, just after a football ground/childrens play area is the entrance to the cricket ground which is shared with Oxford manor Nursing home.

 

Hawk Green                  The ground is situated on Upper Hibbert Lane between Marple and High Lane.  The entrance to the ground is alongside a paper shop approx. 20 metres below the crossroads to the Crown Hotel.

 

Hayfield                         From the A624 follow signs to Hayfield village.  Turn into the Royal Hotel car park in the centre of the village and the ground is at the far side.

 

Hazel grove                   From the A6 in Stockport follow signs to Stepping hill maternity hospital.  Continue past the hospital over bridge and turn left into Newby Road(opposite Mirrlees). Take the second road on the left and follow this around, the entrance to the ground is on the left after Arco.

 

High lane                       From the A6 Buxton Road, turn into Middlewood Road, opposite the Royal Oak Hotel and follow sign posts to the ground.

 

Hollingworth                  Travelling on the A57 from The Gun Inn towards Sheffield (Tintwistle), turn left at the New Inn pub into spring street.  The ground is approx 200yrds on the left.

 

Mellor                            The ground is situated on Longhurst lane which is the road between Marple Bridge and New Mills. The entrance to the ground, sign posted Mellos Sports Club, is approximately quarter of a mile above the Royal Oak pub.

 

Mottram                         The ground situated on the road between Charlesworth and Mottram, which is called Mottram Road and is approx. a quarter of a mile from the junction with the A57 at Mottram moor.

 

New mills                      The ground is situated on the A6015 New Mills to Hayfield road.  The entrance to the ground is just below the Church and opposite Meal street.

 

Newton                          From the A57 Hyde to Mottram road, turn into Sheffield road at the Godley Station railway bridge.  Turn right into Barmhouse lane.  Turn left into Elmswood right into Sheringham and left into Barmhouse.

 

Romiley                         On the road between Compstall and Romiley, turn into Birch vale drive, the ground is immediately on the right with the entrance approx 60m up the road.

 

Old Glossop                  Take the A57 Snake pass road to Sheffield out of Glossop and turn left about quarter of a mile from the centre into Manor Park Road by the comercial pub.  The entrance to the ground is approx. 200 metres on the right alongside a shoe warehouse (old church).

 

Stockport                      From the main A6 turn at the traffic lights past the blossoms Hotel.  Take the second right into Beech road, follow the road round to the crossroads, the entrance to the ground is directly opposite.

 

Tintwistle                       From the A628 Woodhead pass to Sheffield, turn right into West street take the first right into Speedwell close.

 

Whaley Bridge              In the centre of the village at the charp bend by the White hart pub turn into Old road.  About 60m past the Sheperd pub turn sharp left into New Horich road, follow the road, keeping to the right, avoiding the entrance to the farm.  The ground is at the top of this road on the left.

 

Woodley                        From Hyde road Woodley at the Navigation pub, turn into the road signposted Greave/Werneth low, turn right into High lane and after going over the railway bridge, left into the ground.
